Club Beat It

Being that it was Memorial Day weekend what better way to have a good time than hit up a club in Hollywood with some friends. Tired of being the designated driver it was my time to have some fun if you know what I mean. So I decided to hit up my homegirl Vanessa to see if she would want to drive me and 2 of my homies Jonas and Matt. We were rollin so deep that our friend Ronolyn had to take a seat on the floor on the way over there and Candice on the way back.

Getting in the club, shit was NOT cracking at all, but after we found the Hip Hop room and more people started showing up it started to get going. Overall it was a cool night except for the fact that the DJ did not know how to transition between songs at all!

Not a bad night at all, well at least I had a good time and I hope everyone I was there with had a good time too

DBar Held it Down

So just kicking it at home, I got the most randomest call ever! It was my old homie from 8th grade George Labaki and apparently he was down from the Navy with some of his boys and told me to kick it with them. Later on that night we hear that one of his friends is throwing a party and we all decided to roll down to show his crewmates a good time.

We get to the house around 830 and start setting up and all and i see that they got 3kegs running for free with nos and liquour being sold. I dont know how and why but I found myself working the door and at first it started out real slow, but eventually everyone started showing up and shit got busy quick! If the backyard was bigger the party probably wouldve been off the chain, but it was what it was and it was packed to FULL capacity with girls everywhere.

A big positive of the night was when I noticed that it was almost 12 and no cops had strolled by and when the neighbors asked what was happening we just said it was a graduation party and they all respected that. So now its about 1245 and people are slowly leaving, but the party is still cracking, but I decided to head out around 145 and call it a night with some of my friends.

Big ups to everyone I havent seen in forever. GeorgeRickJonasBubbaMattNessaTazCandice

Talk about Generosity

So I thought that this was pretty cool. We all already know that Kobe Bryant won the MVP of the season, but Im not sure how many of you caught his press conference or saw any highlights of it.

As we all know Kobe kept saying that this award was not a individual award, but a "team" award instead and thanks all of his teammates for all their contributions. At the press conference all of Kobe's teammates were present and Luke Walton asked a question referring to how Kobe said that it was a team award and whether or not he was going to get his teammates gifts jokingly, with Bryant responding with a laugh and a yes.

Well, what Im getting at is that last night the Laker players all joined together at a restaurant to (once again) watch a game that would determine their opponent in the Western Conference Finals and at this gathering Kobe was reported to have given each of his teammates a personally engraved Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph watch from Switzerland; which retails at $9,000 apiece.

Here are some pictures from that night...

Now talk about being generous, but I guess thats what happens when your Kobe Bryant and youve just won the MVP award.

Game 2: Lakers vs Jazz

[from my point of view]

Just being in LA anyone could see that thepurple and gold was in full affect from the streets to the arena. Myself and Earl, not having our tickets yet we decide to just kick it around the main entrance, where we first see A.C. Green talking to some fellow fans. As time passes by we find ourselves chilling in front of Will Call where I immediately notice Jarron Collins twin brother Jason Collins who literally passed right in front of me, but I was just to star struck to say anything. Later, I even witnesses Ron Artest walking hella fast from a crowd of lakers video taping him, I must say it was really funny.

As we got in we had some pretty good seats and we were some big ass laker goof ball fans talking trash to the 2 Utah fans in front of us. At halftime we got 2 "Family Room" passes which brought me and Earl to a room with some of NBA players families and popular faces. In this room not only was there some bomb, free food, but I immediately noticed Andre Igoudala from the Philadelphia 76ers who is also a slam dunk superstar and I even struck up a nice little conversation with him too. In the room we were also surrounded by Jim Hill and James Worthy from the LTV show and Kobe Bryants wife and kids just to name a few; on your way back to our seats we were even standing right next to Chick Hearns wife, Marge Hearn. With a couple seconds left me and Earl decided to head back down to the floor to get some close ups with some Lakers and we came pretty close to Pau Gasol and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who were heading back to the locker room and were even next to Kobe and Rick Fox showing some love between each other.

Heres a video montage that Earl put together himself:
